As poets and philosophers have always known there are only two things in life worthy of serious consideration; Sex, and Death.

My work is about the former, but in a curious way about the latter also.

But it is not Sex without Love. I love my models while we work and will be fond of each of them forever.

If you like my work, that's fine. If you don't like my work that's fine.

I have no idea what makes something Art, or the practical distinction between erotic art and pornography.

I seldom work with "professional" models. In most cases this is the first and last time my subjects have, or will be photographed this way . Their generosity is an act of pure grace.

The best of my work is unplanned and spontaneous. I just get lucky sometimes.

The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life.
